JSTR is an international peer reviewed Journal publishing articles that foster the development of transdisciplinary social theorizing while relying on the disciplinary rigors of empirical study.
The publication encourages contributions of scholars in the form of original articles, review articles and book reviews that address relevant issues from a trans-disciplinary perspective. Each issue focuses on a specific topic announced through a Call for Papers and may include other articles that are relevant to the Journal’s mission. A regional empirical focus is also encouraged.
We welcome contributions which put forward a social perspective, from scholars with a background in a wide range of fields, including sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy, psychology, economics, geography, architecture and urbanism, political science, science and technology studies, cultural studies, art and art history.
